It is the Mississippi River where Mark Twain spent much of his childhood.这个句子我去掉了along，后面就必须用where引导定语从句，It is the Mississippi River主句是它就是密西西比河，马克吐温小时候生活在这里，
还有这样子一些同样的句子
1. it was the park where they first met each other.定从
it was in the park that they first met each other.强调句
2。it was 1990 when they first met each other.定从
it was in 1990 that they first mer each other.强调句
第一组强调地点和定语从句的区别，第二组是强调时间和定语从句的区别。
做这种题，一般的题型就是这样的结构，你要多看典型例子，方法就是首先假设他就是强调句，去掉it is/was。。。that...以后，结构完整，好，不用看其他选项了。如果不完整，一般就考虑是考的定语从句了。

不能啊。。这个从句是定语从句~~不是状语从句。。可以这样判断，i have ever visited the places。the places做宾语而不是地点状语。。
